It is with the utmost pride that we announce that our Head Sommelier, Mr Piotr Pietras, has been awarded Master Sommelier, the highest accolade of the profession, by the Court of Master Sommeliers, making him the second polish sommelier to ever be awarded the prestigious title. With only 236 members worldwide, this title makes Piotr one of the most sought after sommeliers in the world.

Organised by the CMS, the exam is broken down into three sections: a practical wine service test, a theory test covering all aspects of the wine, spirits, beer and cigar industries, and finally a blind tasting of six wines – a challenge for the best of sommeliers and a true accomplishment for those who succeed.

Piotr’s list of accolades has been growing throughout his career, he was awarded the Best Polish Sommelier in 2015 and 2016 and the 3rd and 2nd Best UK Young Sommelier in 2015 and 2016, respectively. He also recently represented his country in the most prestigious worldwide sommelier contest the A.S.I. Best Sommelier of the World Competition in Mendoza, Argentina where he ranked 10th place out of an astounding 61 competitors.

Piotr has also won the Chaine des Rotisseurs UK best young Sommelier competition and came in second at the A.S.I. Best Sommelier of Europe & Africa competition 2017.
