Once Upon A Dine

On Monday 20th April, Head Chef Tim Allen will take part to a charity dinner hosted at Almeida to raise money for children’s charity NSPCC. Diners will embark on an evening of childhood nostalgia enjoying a three-course menu inspired by fairytales and folklore of the past and present. The one night only dinner, hosted by award winning journalist Robert Crampton, will be crafted by other two prestigious head chefs; Tommy Boland of Almeida,  and Tom Cook from Pont de la Tour.

Tim, Tommy and Tom, alongside the NSPCC, have each created a dish that will endeavour to show the creativity of a child’s mind. Tim’s starter forbidden fruit (a red apple served on a ‘forest’ floor with langoustine and wood sorrel) will be followed by Tommy’s main course three little pigs (a ‘surprise’ pork dish served with pear in a cauldron) and Tom’s dessert the witches’ cottage (a gingerbread house for the table to share).

Tickets to the event are £75 per person, including a welcome ‘cock-tale’ on arrival at 7.00pm, followed by amuse bouche, three course menu, pre-dessert, half a bottle of wine per person and water.

A live and silent auction will also take place on the evening, including exciting prizes from The Broad Gallery, Sipsmith Distillery, Almeida Theatre, 3 South Place, Skylon, D&D Wine and Orrery, to raise money for the NSPCC.
