Christ Church Bazaar

On 23rd June 2010, Launceston Place restaurant took their cooking outdoors. To help raise money for Christ Church, Victoria Road, Launceston Place provided a BBQ for all those attending the bazaar. It's such a community event and we're really proud to be asked to be a part of it for the second year in a row. Our efforts and all those running stalls at the bazaar helped to raise £7,000 for the church.

Launceston Place has high hopes for Charity work in 2010

Last year Launceston Place raised over £46,000 for various charities including Action Aid and Sick Children's Fund. This year Head Chef Tristan Welch is aiming to raise even more.

"Polo for Heroes", an idea conceived by Tristan and polo fanatic Clare Dingwall, to raise money in aid of military charity, Help for Heroes. The event, on Saturday 24th July, will see two polo matches take place followed by a three-course meal prepared by Tristan, a raffle and an auction. Click here for more details

Locally, Launceston Place enjoys being part of the Kensington community and this year is getting heavily involved in the Christ Church Bazaar on Wednesday 23rd June to raise money for Christ Church, Kensington and the Children's Society.

Taste of Edinburgh

As a warm up for Taste of London, Head Chef Tristan Welch took a few team members up to Edinburgh to take part in the first Celebrity Chef Charity Pop-Up restaurant at Taste of Edinburgh in aid of Action Against Hunger. It was a huge success, with Launceston Place and suppliers donating ingredients and time. The menu featured Scottish lobster soup with wild herb mousse, Roasted beef fillet with black truffles and watercress and early potatoes and Salt-baked chocolate.
