Three AA Rosette Wonder!

January is an exciting time for Chefs as the AA Guide 'dish out' the movers and shakers of the restaurant world. This year the AA Guide honoured Launceston Place with three AA rosettes, an accolade that is only awarded to outstanding restaurants, and of which only 12 establishments received this year.

The AA 2010 Guide compliments Launceston Place on their intelligent service, a well chosen wine list and a kitchen that give their high quality ingredients a "sympathetic treatment" and to a chef that has a strong judgement of flavour combinations.

Head chef Tristan Welch said he was, "on top of the world" about the accolade. "It's a positive for staff and a positive for the restaurant," he said. "We had hoped for it but you can't expect these things as you end up getting upset when it doesn't work out. It's a great achievement for the whole team."

Head Chef Tristan Welch and all the team at Launceston Place are ecstatic and very proud of their Junior Sous Chef, Steve Groves, who was crowned the champion of BBC Two's competition, MasterChef - The Professionals Competition 2009.
