Tim Allen joined Launceston Place in February 2012, after spending seven successful years at double Michelin-starred Whatley Manor in the Cotswolds. Before this he also worked in the kitchens at renowned restaurants The Landmark and L’Ortolan.

Taking inspiration from the chefs he has worked with, such as Martin Burge and John Burton Race, as well as his Yorkshire roots, Tim has created a set of truly exceptional dishes for Launceston Place’s organically British menu. Growing up in Yorkshire, Tim was a keen gardener from a young age and uses his knowledge of home-grown produce.

His unquestionable skill, passion and emphasis on sourcing simple produce led Tim and Launceston Place to their first Michelin star in 2012, which they retained in 2013.
