Timothy Allen is announced as the new head chef at Launceston Place. He joins the restaurant after seven years at the two Michelin-starred Whatley Manor in the Cotswolds.
D&D London is thrilled to have secured Timothy as the successor to Tristan Welch, who left the restaurant earlier this year to spend time with his family in Sweden.
“We are very excited that Timothy has taken the helm at Launceston Place,” said MD David Loewi. “He is a chef of huge skill and experience, and we look forward to him making his mark at Launceston Place.”
Timothy, who is currently developing his new menu, has come to Launceston Place with a wealth of experience. Prior to his seven-year tenure at Whatley Manor, he spent four years working for John Burton Race, first at L’Ortolan and then at The Landmark. Timothy is a Yorkshire-man by birth and started his career cooking in his home county before moving south.
“This is such an amazing opportunity for me,” says Tim. “To move to London and take over such an enduring restaurant is both thrilling and inspiring, and I look forward to putting my own stamp on the menu here.”
Launceston Place is open for lunch and dinner all week (except Monday lunch).
